After School Program for students enrolled in grades K - 7 from 2:30 - 5:30pm. Children must be no younger than 5 and no older than 12 years at the start of the program. Staff provide a program consisting of supervised athletic, educational, and recreational enrichment activities. The program is closed on most major holidays, but remains opens on scheduled teacher conference half days. Subsidized Child Care is available for those who qualify. There is a limited number of non-subsidized and voucher (Child-Care Connection) slots available for those who do not use a state contracted subsidized slot.
Activities include: weekly arts & crafts classes, computer lab, homework assistance, tutoring, game room, large gymnasium, reading/movie room, outside private playground, local park trips weather permitting, board games, nutritious snack served daily, special seasonal events, Junior Achievement Program and collaborations with other local non-profits such as Isles and Kidsbridge Children's Museum to offer additional educational programming in the area of health/exercise and character education.
Transportation is available from the following schools: Parker, Franklin, Grant, Hedgepeth/Williams, PJ Hill, Mott, Robbins, Robbins Annex, Dunn and Washington.
Please note: Students enrolled at Harrison, Parker Annex 1 & 2, and the International Charter School are escorted by Staff to the CYO Center since all of these schools are within walking distance. Door to door take-home transportation is available, arrangements must be made in advance with a program director.
